Don't have Microsoft Word? No worries!

For students who do not have Microsoft Word, or Word Perfect on their computers, there is a FREE alternative. Yes, we like FREE, too!!

Try using Open Office (www.openoffice.org). It's an open-source, fully functional office suite of programs that cost absolutely nothing. The only thing to remember is to be sure to save as a .doc (for Word). The default is different.

From their website:
"OpenOffice.org 3 is the leading open-source office software suite for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, graphics, databases and more. It is available in many languages and works on all common computers. It stores all your data in an international open standard formatfree of charge for any purpose. "

If you're a MAC user, no worries here, either! Try this site: Open Office for MAC (http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/). and can also read and write files from other common office software packages.
