CrossCurrents 30th Anniversary Traveling Exhibition comes to Pierce College Feb. 28-March 31
Pierce College will celebrate the work of more than 30 artists and writers with a special, two-campus gallery show highlighting 30 years of CrossCurrents magazine.
The show will run from Feb. 28 to March 31 in the galleries at both Pierce College Fort Steilacoom and Pierce College Puyallup.
For the Pierce Fort Steilacoom show, an artists’ reception will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 2. There will be a poetry reading at 5 p.m. Refreshments will be served. All are welcome to attend.
For the Pierce Puyallup show, an artists’ reception will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 3. There will be a poetry reading at 5 p.m. Refreshments will be served. All are welcome to attend.
For 30 years, CrossCurrents has championed the arts, conversation, and reflection. The art and literary pieces highlighted exemplify this mission and cover a wide range of media and topics. Featured artists include Yvette O’Neill, David Roholt, Rick Mahaffey, and Joe Batt.
The Fine Arts Gallery at Pierce Fort Steilacoom is located in the Olympic Building, 9401 Farwest Drive SW, Lakewood. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to noon Friday.
The Fine Arts Gallery at Pierce Puyallup is located in the Arts and Allied Health Building, 1601 39th Ave. SE. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
