Military Tuition Assistance Changes

Plan Ahead! 
Research!



Tuition Assistance is available for a bachelor's degree or up to 130 semester hours of
undergraduate credit, whichever comes first.
These 130 credits INCLUDE credits that you include at the Associate level.


 Tuition Assistance is available for a master's degree or up to 39 semester hours of
graduate credit, whichever comes first.


Tuition assistance is available for one certificate or diploma. The number of semester
hours obtained for the certificate or diploma will apply towards the semester hour limit at the undergraduate or graduate level based upon the Soldier's current civilian education level and/or semester hour cap.

What does this mean?

  1. Plan Ahead!
  2. Think about your career/educational goal and work backwards
  3. Research requirements for your intended major EARLY
  4. Study for your COMPASS placement exam and place as high as possible for your English and Math courses
